Wheres Emma Gill? (Coast to Coast bike ride)
Hi A5 Rangers,
I thought that I would write to you all to tell you what I have been up to. A few of you may have noticed that I have not been out on the club leisure ride for a while now, this is because I have been in training for a sponsored bike ride that will take place in August.
Last year I was approached by a friend who happens to be the Chairman of Toybox to see if I would be interested in joining the Toybox coast to coast cycling challenge 2010.
Toybox is a Milton Keynes based charity that help and support the street children of Latin America. The aim of the challenge is to cycle from White Haven to Newcastle this will be a distance of about 155 miles over 3 days in August (14th-16th) each member of the group will aim to raise £750 each for the charity. We will be staying in youth hostels along the way.
Our training started at the beginning of March this year with some 20 mile gentle rides around Milton Keynes red ways. We have slowly increased our training and last Saturday was our longest ride so far of 43 miles, this was a hilly loop of the villages surrounding Milton Keynes. We are planning some back to back rides very soon.
If anyone would like to sponsor me the easiest way of doing so is by logging on to www.justgiving.com/EmmaCycling
Alternatively I have put a sponsor form up in the club rooms.
Thank you for your support and hope to see you soon

“When I was a kid I used to pray every night for a new bicycle. Then I realised that the Lord doesn't work that way so I stole one and asked Him to forgive me.”
HOPE TO SEE YOU BACK WITH US SOON
