A group of 11 took the shorter ride, to Stony Stratford via Ashton and Castlethorpe, taking the old Cosgrove-Stratford road (now a footpath leading to a footbridge over the A5). We had a pleasant stopover at the busy Muffins café, in an alley close to two bike shops at the southern end of the High St, (sharing 8 chairs with the help of the 20 second rule!), then back via Deanshangar and Paulersbury. We welcomed three newcomers - Michael Lewis and his daughter Rachel and Steve Evans. Distance 28 miles at a bit under 12 mph.
